October is Child Health Month and October 15 is World Food Day.
On Thursday, October 14, we have volunteers going to the Feeding America warehouse. Feeding America is the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity. Each year, the Feeding America network provides food to more than 25 million low-income people facing hunger in the United States, including more than 9 million children and 3 million seniors.
The Backpacks
These backpacks are discreetly distributed to children on the last day before the weekend or holiday vacation. See the video below about the backpack project.
