Books for Troops During the month of October we will be collecting paperback books.

We are asking club members to work together with their friends and customers to collect 1000 books for troops.

This is a club interaction project and we will be working together with Woman’s Clubs, Juniors and Juniorettes in District 8 to meet our goal.

As of October 10th we have collected 1332 books for troops.

What Types of Books?

We are looking specifically for action adventure, mystery, suspense, history, science fiction, true crime & fantasy. We cannot accept religious texts, books on the apocalypse or pornography.

Postage Donations Also Welcome

If you are unable to collect books in your workplace but can place a small container for postage donations, please feel free to do so. The cost of shipping 20 books to Afghanistan is $12.40 and this entire project will cost $3550 in shipping costs.

If you are able to host a neighborhood collection party and would like to use the banner please let me know. We will be sharing the banner with other clubs during their collection activities too so get your request in early.
