Operation Smile Project

Operation Smile

MY AWESOME JUNIOR FRIENDS!

During this Holiday Season, I offer my thanks to you as women with the spirit of giving in your heart. There is perhaps no greater calling in life than helping those less fortunate.

The holidays are always a time of tradition celebrated differently around the world. Tradition makes us who we are as individuals and as a nation. The holidays are also a time of inspiration. Regardless of color, creed, nation, or religion-people around the world reflect on their ancestry and the spirit of life, love, and sisterhood. Whether you and yours celebrate Chanukah, St. Nicholas Day, Las Posadas, Christmas, Boxing Day, or Kwanzaa I hope you take a moment to reflect on the spirit of the season.

You are an inspiration. You are part of the long tradition of women who have come together to serve others in a time of need. I thank you for your selfless service. I thank you for your commitment, time is precious! And to your families and loved ones, I extend my deepest appreciation for your efforts. You are a tremendous force for good in our country and I am proud to serve with you.

In the words of Dwight D. Eisenhower; “A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both.”
Though International doesn’t have any volunteer requirements this month, we are still hoping for donations for the Operation Smile campaign. Please see the link below-even $5 makes a huge difference! Don’t forget to check for corporate matching! We were planning to close it out for International Children’s Day last month-but will keep it open in order to reach our goal. Support Operation Smile

Thank you to Jennifer Gupta for setting up the webpage, Krystal LaHann for putting together the smile bags and everyone who brought in items. I’m sure they were a huge hit!

With my best wishes for the Holidays,
Jessica
