2013 Night of 5000 – March 2, 2013 All that JAZZ

This is the sixteenth year that the GFWC New Tampa Junior Woman’s Club will host this event. During
Night of 5000, “All that JAZZ”, guests bid on live and silent auction items, “play” at casino tables with
“Mock” Federation Funds, enjoy live entertainment, and dance to the music of Gigante’ Productions.

The success of last year’s event raised $35,000 for local charities, including Tampa’s Fisher House. Night of 5000 has attracted local politicians and sports personalities.

Embassey Suites Fowler Av.This year’s event is expected to be the best ever. To accommodate our guests, we have moved the Night of 5000 to the “front door” of New Tampa — the beautiful Embassy Suites on Fowler Avenue.

The R.I.C.H. House

The R.I.C.H. House was formed in 2000 when the Tampa Police Department partnered with the U.S. Attorney’s Office under a grant known as the Weed and Seed Initiative. The main objective is to weed out the element that is holding a neighborhood back, be it criminal or economic, and seed in elements that will allow the neighborhood to prosper even when those funds are gone.

The R.I.C.H. House is a local safe house in the Sulfur Springs area operated by the Tampa Police Department. It’s a place where kids can go after school to study and learn instead of being left on the streets to be targeted by gangs.
